Party for the professional cinema days in Venice with "Migrant Alien"
PARTY FOR THE PROFESSIONAL CINEMA DAYS IN VENICE A party on Saturday 2 September during the Cinema Art Exhibition to celebrate the 40th edition of the event in Sorrento. Special guests “Migrant Aliens” by Fu Yuxiang from the San Marino Pavilion of the Biennale Art exhibition. Presented by Maria Grazia Cucinotta. For the Italian Association of Film Exhibitors, the Venice Exhibition is the springboard for the Professional Cinema Days 2017 (organised by ANEC in partnership with ANICA and ANEM), to be held in Sorrento from 27 to 30 November. A historical 40th edition of this event which every year, just a few weeks before Christmas, brings together exhibitors, distributors, producers, artists, journalists and sector operators to present the films for the coming year. The celebrations for this important “anniversary” will kick off with a Party in Venice on Saturday 2 September at 9 p.m. at the Lido Lexus Lounge on the Mediterranean Terrace in front of the Casino. «The 40th edition of the Professional Cinema Days - explains Giorgio Ferrero, vice president of ANEC and its representative at the Cinema Days - is deeply significant for our association: in the cinema and communication world, which is increasingly frenetic and full of commitments, our event has maintained its importance, utility and focus in the busy calendar of professional engagements, and Venice seemed the perfect location to launch the Cinema Days with an event that all the operators at the Lido will attend». Special guests are the “Migrant Aliens” by the artist Fu Yuxiang, one of the most interesting artists of the new generation in China. Among the works exhibited at the San Marino Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale, the outstanding installation by Fu Yuxiang presented and extraordinary work of huge impact and popularity: “Migrant Aliens”, a platoon of aliens who mingle as visitors among the visitors in Venice, engrossed and slightly bemused before this Art, a universal language that can surpass diversity. The “Aliens” will therefore also be spectators at the “seventh art” comparing Cinema with the “Other”. «The San Marino Pavilion has been recognised as a place of encounter among different cultures, particularly that of China» emphasises Vincenzo Sanfo, Artistic Director of the Pavilion. «We therefore were delighted to receive the invitation to attend the Professional Cinema Days, as the union and contamination among various forms of art is, in itself, a powerful tool for an exchange of views with the Other, with the Alien, with the unexpected». Special guest of the evening will be the actress Maria Grazia Cucinotta.
